Dark Souls Announced for Xbox One Backwards Compatibility

If you’re like me, you probably sold your previous-gen console in order to fund your next-gen habit. Which does mean that you’re probably left without a console to play Dark Souls on. Fear not dear readers, as Microsoft could be bringing the sadistic RPG to the Xbox One within the next week.

Found by a user on Reddit, the Australian Xbox Store shows download codes for Dark Souls and a promise that it will be delivered to pre-order customers within seven to ten days of purchase. Good news for Xbox One owners as it means that they could have access to the game within the week.

There has yet to be a formal announcement from Microsoft that confirms the backward compatibility but there seems to be enough evidence to show it’s happening. However, there is no announcement yet that the game will be available on the UK Xbox Store.
