As we approach the announcement filled pandemonium which is E3, it makes sense for companies to show off smaller projects or previously revealed titles before the show, just to keep the heat of the big guns. This seems to be the case with Sony, as they have just revealed a new trailer for half remake/half movie tie in Ratchet and Clank game for the PS4. News has been fairly slow coming about this entry in the series as of late, but we do know it acts as both a re-imaging of the original game for the PS2, as well as a way to cross promote the film adaptation of the series.

We finally get to see in game footage in this trailer and it looks absolutely phenomenal, looking like a playable Pixar film. You can tell this game is not just a half-arsed movie tie in, but something which developers Insomniac Games have put a hell of a lot of effort to make look so astounding. Ratchet and Clank looks to be released in Spring next year, to coincide with the release of the movie that comes out on April 29th. No doubt we’ll get more of a glimpse of this edition of the series at E3 but in the meantime, make sure to check out the trailer below.
