In a surprise announcement which will send Pokémon fans into a frenzy, Nintendo has announced today that there will be a 3D re-imagining of Ruby and Sapphire in the form of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, to be released worldwide this November. No doubt we’ll find out more at E3 but check out the short announcement video for the games:

ADDENDUM: Nintendo has confirmed in their yearly Financial Results Briefing that Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be full remakes of Ruby and Sapphire.
