Ubisoft Showcase Beautiful Lemuria in Child of Light Trailer

Ubisoft have today released a new trailer for their upcoming title, Child of Light. Titled The World of Lemuria, the trailer takes us on a tour of the stunning watercolour landscapes which Aurora must navigate in order to collect the three sources of Light and save the kingdom.

In this, our first uninterrupted look at Lemuria, we can truly appreciate the design of the game more than ever. Objects elegantly manifest as the camera pans, colours bleed to show movement, and Aurora moves very delicately as she leaps and flies across the world. The environments in particular are very impressive, with a large scope of locations for players to explore.

As a pleasant surprise, the trailer is also our first look at Aurora as she grows from young girl to young woman. We already knew this would be a coming of age story, but now we can see to what extent this will be true. It brings all sorts of new questions to mind, such as how the story will progress over such a long span of time, if we will see much of adult Aurora, and how Aurora’s character will develop as she ages.

Child of Light is just two weeks away from release, on April 30th. You can pre-order the deluxe edition now, to receive a bundle of extras including a collaborative print designed by Yoshitaka Amano. For more information on the game, check out the official website.
