Child of Light Coming in April

Ubisoft has announced Child of Light will be released digitally on April 30th, with a Deluxe Edition also coming available for the PS3, PS4 and PC.

The turn-based RPG is the reimaging of classic fairytales, as players enter the magical world of Lemuria with mechanics inspired by classic JRPGs. Play as protagonist Aurora, a child stolen from her home, who in her quest to return, must bring back the sun, the moon and the stars that are being held captive by the Queen of the Night.

Child of Light boasts a unique style “akin to stepping into an interactive painting.”  The small Ubisoft Montreal team developed the game on the publishers UbiArt Framework, an engine that lets original concept art enter the game world without any editing.

The title will be available for download on Xbox Live, the PlayStation Network, Nintendo eShop and PC Digital. The Deluxe Edition features a poster designed by renowned artist Yoshitaka Amano, a 24 page art book and an Igniculus key ring. The boxed edition will also include additional game content, a bonus quest, a new character and a pack of collectibles.

Those buying the game on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 will also benefit from the cross-buy option, allowing players to access the game on both generations at no extra cost.
