Mojang encourage owners of “Scrolls” to get in the Christmas spirit with free gift codes.

In the true spirit of the season, Mojang is offering all it’s current customers, who have a copy of Scrolls an extra copy to gift a friend. The card based game from the creators of Minecraft was released in an open beta state in June of this year. Scrolls was conceived by Jakob Porsér and Marcus ‘Notch’ Perrson as a game to fill a gap in the market, and has some Magic the Gathering style elements to it. Based around protecting three out of five towers, you must summon creatures and walls to protect you from the enemies onslaught. Scrolls features a multiplayer mode which will be handy for any one wanting to play with their newly invited friend.

To retrieve your gift code, simply log in to your Mojang account and look toward the bottom of the page, where a list titled “Codes” should be. And let me remind you this is for people who already own a copy of Scrolls, so if you know someone who does, now is the time to become their chum. You have until February 1st to redeem the code.

Have you already got a copy of Scrolls? If so who are you going to give it to? Let us know in the comments below.
