Nintendo America has been celebrating today as they revealed (via a fancy infographic) that Pokémon X and Y are the fastest selling games on the 3DS platform to date, reaching one million copies sold in record time. This also increased the amount of 2DS/3DS purchases by 135% making it so that 1 in 5 3DS owners have a copy of either X or Y.

This may not be the first title in the Pokémon series to sell a million in a month (Yellow, Gold/Silver and a few others have that honour too)  but it is certainly great news as Pokémon X and Y versions are possible the greatest Pokémon games to date. It’s great to hear that so many people are getting to play it.
