Microsoft No Longer Charges Developers to Patch Xbox 360 Games

Microsoft has been the centre of scrutiny recently with all of the strange and odd policies for the Xbox One and the sudden retraction of said policies from their consoles. One of these was the need to charge indie developers to update their games on Microsoft software.

Recently however, Microsoft has changed this so that now they will no longer be charging developers for Xbox 360 title updates.

While this is good news, naturally, people has some reasonable doubts and queries. The most prominent being (via Phil Fish’s Twitter):

There is no word yet if this will also apply to the Xbox One or that this update is retroactive, but VGU will be sure to let you know if there is any more news on the matter.
