Lulzsec Hackers Who targeted Sony, Nintendo and Many More have Plead Guilty

26 year old Ryan Ackroyd from South Yorkshire, UK, is now being charged with generating cyber attacks and hacking which is in violation of the Criminal Law Act 1997, carrying out an unauthorised act to impair the operation of a computer.

Lulzsec are a group of anonymous hackers formed around May 2011 and since have attacked and DDoS’d (flooding websites and/or servers with high traffic in order to make them them unusable) many online companies including Sony and Nintendo, but also the NHS and the UK’s Serious Organised Crime Agency. 

Ryan and various other hackers from the Lulzsec group with similar charges will be sentenced next month in the UK.
