As you may have seen there have been various hints at a new Sonic the Hedgehog game being announced soon. Ever since Sega informed the fans at Sonic Stadium, a Sonic Fan website, that news of a new next-gen Sonic game would be revealed February. Thus far, no news has surfaced; however, more titbits have arisen that suggest we may be getting some news very soon.
The above tweet is from a Netherlands writer for N1nintendo in which he claims that the next title will be game 3 of the Sonic the Hedgehog series. Sega could be using this as a placeholder until they announce the real title but the Sonic Adventure 3 title does hold some weight as well as becoming more and more likely. Various Sonic Adventure 3 domain names have been registered, the writer for Sonic Colours and Sonic Generations has recently been revealed to be working on an “upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog game” and the rap artist Hunnid-P who composed the original Knuckles raps in Sonic Adventure 2 has confirmed on his Youtube account that he is working on a new Sonic project as seen below!
