Naughty Dog, the studio behind The Last of Us has announced today the PS3 exclusive has sold over 6 million copies of the title.

The studio released this news as it heads into GDC net week with scheduled presentations where it will “talk about some of the techniques and process that went into making The Last of Us”, and “what made Left Behind, our first ever downloadable, single player story chapter, so unique”.

The Last of Us sold 3.4 million units between the game’s global release on June 14 and July 3. This makes the title the fastest selling PS3 game of 2013, according to Sony.
